Constrained ordination method based on correspondence analysis. Adjusted R^{2} cannot be calculated for CCA - although there exist a bootstrap method for it, this is still not implemented in R ^{1)}, so only ordinary R^{2} can be calculated.

check the paper from Peres-Neto et al. (2006), where is an executable program VarCan, based on Matlab, calculating adjusted R^{2} in CCA - it's in Supplement 3 available online; newly, since version 5.04, permutation-based adjusted R2 can be calculated using Canoco 5, see update information, Improvement [504-23]
