We established and plan to establish several study areas across Taiwan. These include:
vegetation plots located along two types of transects:
vertical transect, with localities at different elevations (surveyed between 2017-2019, Lalashan elevation transect),
horizontal transect, with localities at similar elevations, located along the cloud frequency gradient from the eastern to the western part of Taiwan (surveyed between 2021 and 2022).
permanent forest dynamics plots, represented by 1-ha permanent plots located in different types of cloud forest vegetation (we finished 1-ha Lalashan Forest Dynamics Plot in 2021, and plan to resurvey and establish one or two more).
